IV Curve Testing

Understanding the I-V Curve Testing

The I-V curve test is a fundamental evaluation of a solar panel’s electrical performance. It systematically measures the relationship between the panel’s current and voltage output under controlled conditions, producing a graphical representation. This curve reveals crucial performance metrics, including maximum power output, open-circuit voltage, and short-circuit current, allowing for accurate assessment of the panel’s efficiency and overall health. Analyzing the curve’s shape also helps identify potential defects or performance degradation, ensuring quality control and optimal system operation.

IV Curve Testing at Kothakota Solar Site

From April 2nd to 5th 2024, the Solvix Solar team conducted IV curve testing at the Kothakota solar site. This testing is a crucial part of ensuring the optimal performance and efficiency of solar power systems.

The Solvix Solar team meticulously tested each solar panel at the Kothakota site, collecting valuable data on their performance. The results of the testing will be used to optimize the system’s configuration and ensure that it operates at peak efficiency.
